Viyet is the online destination for buying and selling designer pre-owned furniture. We make it easy for high-end furniture owners to sell their items when it comes time to move or redecorate. For buyers, we offer online access to brands that are largely restricted to offline showrooms, all for 50-80% below retail prices and for immediate delivery.
Viyet (pronounced VEE-yet) is a play on the design term ‘vignette.’ Defined as the arrangement of various decorative objects to add character to a living space, the term reflects our mission to inspire Interior Redesign by connecting sellers of great design with buyers looking for their perfect piece.
Viyet’s merchandise represents pre-owned furniture, lighting, and accessories sourced from individual homes, interior designers, and showrooms. Every item that is available for sale on Viyet has been personally inspected and vetted by our team of experienced curators. As such, we are pleased to guarantee the authenticity of any item purchased through our site.

Buyer's FAQ

Viyet is unable to allow potential customers to view items in-person as many of these pieces are held in sellers’ homes until sale. Because of this limitation, our team makes 100% certain to document the exact condition and every detail of each piece in our product listings. We also offer a return policy should you be unhappy with your purchase for any reason.

We coordinate with our seller to deliver your item(s) as soon as possible. It is essential that you or someone else is at home to collect your delivery. If our movers cannot reach you for delivery at the confirmed time, a re-delivery charge will apply.
We make every effort to satisfy our buyers. If an item arrives in a condition that is different from that shown on our website, please email us immediately at service@viyet.com or call us at 1-844-MY-VIYET (698-4938).
We will accept returns within 2 business days of delivery. Your refund will be reduced by the cost of return shipping and delivery.
Viyet accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover credit cards and also offers monthly installment payments through Buy with Affirm.

Seller's FAQ

When you are ready to sell, complete our simple online form by uploading photos, original price, designer, and the condition of each item you wish to sell. Our curators will review your submission and arrange a free in-home appointment to photograph, measure, price, and record every detail of your items. Once you approve pricing, we list your items for sale on our site and market them through email, social media, and our popular design blog.

You can choose to keep your items in your own possession until they sell, free of charge, or you can move them to our secure storage facility. In order to move your items to storage, we require a minimum of $1,000 of qualifying items. You will incur a separate charge for pick up and storage at the beginning of your 6-month agreement period.
Our agreement is valid for 6 months. The 6-month consignment period begins the first day your item is listed for sale on Viyet.com. All sellers must have a signed consignment agreement in place to schedule a curator appointment.

We understand the value of your fine furniture and handle every aspect of our process from listing to delivery with exceptional care and professionalism. Our loyal community of sophisticated buyers guarantees your pieces the best chance of selling, allowing you to recover the maximum return on investment for your items.
Viyet accepts well-maintained, quality home furnishings, including new and gently used furniture, lighting, and accessories. We ask that every piece submitted for sale meet the following criteria:
  1. Designer brand
  2. Minimum retail price of $1,000 for furniture, $500 for lighting, and $100 for accessories
  3. Excellent or good condition, or able to be restored to excellent or good condition with a little TLC
We are unlikely to accept pieces that have severe stains, are visibly worn, or in need of major repairs and/or refinishing. However, if the pieces are considered to be highly sought after, we may still consider them even if the condition is not optimal. Viyet cannot accept mattresses or nursery items.
Viyet recognizes that sometimes a rare piece of furniture is appealing to buyers regardless of its condition. For those items that are iconic designs and/or from notable designers, we are willing to accept pieces that need some help to restore their original condition. Examples of this type of help could be applying a new finish to a table, new upholstery to a sofa, or replacing worn nailheads on a chair. Items that require significant refurbishment will be priced lower than our average furniture resale prices to reflect the current condition of the piece and the additional restoration cost required.
Items remaining in your home for the duration of your agreement will be listed free of charge. Items moved to our secure storage facility will be subject to a moving and storage fee.
Viyet’s team of experienced curators will price your furniture according to condition, brand name, age, and original retail price. Resale pricing generally ranges from 50% to 80% below the original price paid.
Should your items remain unsold at the end of the six-month agreement, Viyet will facilitate donating your items to charity. As required by law, the maximum donation per calendar year cannot exceed $5000 for physical donation. If your items exceed $5000 and you wish to donate them for the full current market value, you will be required by law to obtain a certified appraisal. The seller is responsible for all logistics and costs incurred for the appraisal service. Viyet is happy to provide appraiser recommendations upon request.
You will be notified by email upon final sale of one or more of your items. The buyer will be responsible for all shipping and delivery charges. Your commission payment will be processed 48 hours after the item is delivered to the buyer and the return period of 2 business days has passed. Please allow 10-12 business days to receive payment.
Should your items remain unsold at the end of your 6-month agreement, Viyet will provide you the option to reclaim your items, or donate them to charity. Should you choose to donate your items, we are happy to facilitate free pickup by a local charitable organization, who can provide you with necessary documentation for a tax deduction. If you are storing your items at Viyet's storage facility and would like to have them returned to you following the conclusion of your 6-month agreement, you will incur an additional delivery fee. All storage items must be claimed within 7 days of the expired agreement or they will become the property of Viyet.
You may terminate your 6-month agreement by providing written notice to service@viyet.com at any time following the minimum listing period of 60 days.
